Greetings from London!
We made our way on the Eurostar from Paris earlier today. Finally landing in our hotel near the airport here in Gatwick.
On our last afternoon in Paris, we went back to the Louvre and hunted down that famous woman that moans. She is not what I expected after the years of hype. Quite a small little thing she is. Had to fight off a few tourists to get close enough to the barrier to snap a few selfies. *another bucket-list check mark added*
Heading to the airport in about 5 hours to stumble through customs and most likely a body search, as per the norm. At which point I’ll begin the pre-coma process via self administered pharmaceuticals, to get through the 9.5hr direct flight back to FL.
It’s over. It’s all over. I’m sad, but I’m not. Getting back home will be nice, as the exhaustion is severe at this point. Living out of a suitcase and jumping from country to country is equally as draining as it is exciting. I think I’ll keep my next adventure to a maximum of 2 weeks at a time. But wow, it was one AMAZING journey! If you’ve been following it, thanks for coming along. I hope I supplied enough detail for you to live vicariously until you make some travel plans and see the beauty first-hand, which I highly recommend 👌🏼
