August 25, 2023. Cruise Log, Helsinki to Tallinn: I can’t remember right now how many seas I’ve been in/on, but now I can add the Baltic Sea to my list of seas. Only a two hour cruise from Finland to Estonia, and I have no idea where the time went as I was in the duty free shop randomly spraying perfumes/colognes and ogling all of the sweets I should not/can not eat. 😔
Tallinn did not disappoint. I walked the entire city center and ‘Old Town’ in 4 hours. I shopped. I talked to the locals. I took in every sight, then captured it in a photo for my memory bank and to share with you guys. To put it very moldy, I’m tired. Despite the lack of sleep and the go go go- the last minute totally random decision to split my time between Finland and Estonia today was by far, super duper smart. I can barely believe I just hit my 50th country explored. A lot of solo travel, some countries traveled with mom after we lost dad to cancer. She’s a pretty decent travel partner, can get a bit grumpy and come off as rude to locals in other countries, but she’s still learning 😉…and adapting so quickly to a foreign culture is not as easy as one may think. Personally, I’m a bit of a chameleon and adapt straight away. That’s just lucky for me, because I don’t recall ever pissing off a local as a tourist in their country (well except for maybe France…they don’t appreciate it if you don’t speak French..). 🤓
Enjoy the experiences through the pics I snapped…and don’t forget to put Estonia on your travel adventure bucket list.
