August 25, 2023. Bus Journey around the city of Helsinki Dairy Entry: once again, using my multi-country ticket purchased when I initially arrived in Scandinavia in Sweden. It’s valid for 11 days, every country, and includes the bus AND boat tours of the cities. It’s the most logical and reasonably priced way to see and learn everything when you have limited time in one location.
Spectrolite is a hard and rare variety of labradorite – only from Finland. The difference between spectrolite and other labradorites is that Finnish spectrolite labradorite has considerably richer, stronger and larger colourfulness, caused by its opaque base color as other labradorites have a transparent base colors. The colors of spectrolite include all colors in spectrum; mostly blue, green, yellow and purple often compared to Northern Lights, Aurora, Rainbow and Butterfly wing. The highest grade is widely used for jewelry and other products all over the world. I went on a mission to find my unique pieces from Finland..and I succeeded greatly:

The Senate Square reminds everyone that Finland became independent in 1917, immediately after the Russian Revolution, and managed to retain its sovereignty even during the difficult times of World War II.The Helsinki City Museum documents and displays the history of Helsinki. Road signs have Swedish on the top and Finnish below that.The Olympia Terminal was built for the Olympic Games in 1952 and is now used by TallinkSilja.The Baltic Sea doesn’t freeze in the winter because of the cold temperatures. It freezes because of the fresh water coming into the sea. The church is immersed in the mountain, but sunlight comes in through the skylights. The building is often used as a concert hall thanks to the extraordinary acoustics created by the rugged rock surface of the walls. As an altarpiece they use a crack in the rock wall. Its spectacular atmosphere, unique architecture and excellent acoustics make it one of the most popular attractions in Helsinki. The church is part of the Töölö parish, and its copper-domed interiors are a popular venue for wedding and christening ceremonies.Sibelius Monument. Dedicated to the famous composer Jean Sibelius, this monument is one of the “musts” when visiting Helsinki.Olympic Stadium & Stadium Tower. The Olympic Stadium was built in 1938 and it housed the Summer Olympics in 1952. Nowadays it is used for sports events and concerts.Europe and their love for cobblestone. No wonder why my feet burn and throb. Yes, it makes everything look nice, aesthetically pleasing sight and all but damn…not even my most expensive, most cushioned, sneakers or urban hiking boots create any relief.
