On our way to the Rhine Valley we stopped at a cheese and clog factory. You’ll never believe what they make there…
Cheese and clogs.
Gouda cheese. Made pure from the 100 or so cows on the property.
And clogs. Made of wood. Because clogs are made of wood.
We watched the clog maker make a clog. Just one clog.
It’s pretty cool.
We learned about the cheese made here in Germany.
Then we got to eat the cheese.
Then I bought the cheese.
The cheese is now in my suitcase.
The probability of said cheese making it home uneaten is slim.
After our field trip we were back on the road heading toward the Rhine Valley, where a river boat was awaiting our arrival.
We rode the river boat through the Rhine Valley. On the river, not through the actual valley of mountains.
The views here are breathtakingly beautiful.
We are staying the night in a small town in the Valley, Boppard.
After a wine tasting, we explored the city of cobblestone roadways and narrow buildings.
There is a wine festival in town.
We drank wine.
We ate German sausages.
We ate chocolate & banana crepes.
Yum.
The group joined up for dinner.
After dinner there was karaoke in the hotel restaurant.
A partner and I sang ” I Will Survive”.
I wasn’t even drunk yet.
There is video footage.
I will not post this video footage.
Come daylight, we will be off to Nuremberg, Germany. Then on to Prague, Czech Republic for two nights!
