London, England–>
Brussels, Belgium (via France)–>
Amsterdam, Netherlands
We slept for 4 hours, after having stayed out too late with a nice Irish gentleman and his friend, a London local, whom insisted on buying us rounds of pints.
Pushing through the morning hangover and dehydration, we booked an Uber and headed to Greenwich station to begin our Euro Tour.
Interesting Fact: There is currently a petition to save Uber in the U.K. As it’s the more affordable transport option (estimate of £1 per mile), the taxi industry is suffering.
We left on our Euro Tour at 6AM.
Folks from all over the world gathered in a parking lot awaiting our tour bus arrival. It was cold. The other humans on the tour are quite pleasant. Unfortunately, most of them appear to be morning people. Settle down, morning’ers, settle.down. ✋🏻
I have no updates to provide from the point of bus departure in Greenwich until our arrival at a Belgian chocolate factory, in Belgium, as it appears I had blacked-out.
We bought Belgian chocolate.
We ate the Belgian chocolate.
We used the toilet, for free.
The bus ride toward the Netherlands continued.
Around 15:50 I emerged from unconsciousness, discovering I aided in awaking my other tour-mates via train-horn-like snore sounds (or so I was informed). Anything to help my fellow human…
We stopped in Rotterdam, Netherlands for a late lunch. I’m happy to report that the foreign McNuggets taste just as good as the ones in the US. Cheers 👌🏼
As we only have £ and $ currently, it took us 20 minutes to gather the €1 necessary per person to use the toilet. On the up side; in waiting that extra 20 minutes, I was able to make the most of the fare paid.
I’m currently composing this update whilst back on the bus hurling toward Amsterdam to catch our river boat tour of the city.
17:30- WE HAVE ARRIVED IN AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS!
It’s beautiful. The local language is Dutch. I have absolutely no idea what is happening, or what anything is. Both prostitution and recreational drug use is legal; you may not hear from me for some time.
Took a river cruise. On a boat. In the water.
They served alcohol and pizza. It felt like home.
After the cruise we started touring the city on foot.
Within 8 minutes of walking through the Red Light District, I had a contact high.
I bought, souvenirs, from one of the many local ‘Coffee Shops’ on the corner. Then I stopped at Starbucks for a coffee.
One of my favorite shops is called, ‘High Snack’.
I loved the petting zoo, located in the Red Light District. This part of the city has large warnings spray painted on the buildings; #NOFUCKINGPHOTOGRAPHY. I don’t think you’re allowed to take pictures. There are two narrow alleyways where pretty women stand in red-lit glass cases wearing suspenders, stockings, and panties. They looked chilly. Probably due to the lack of clothing. I asked one of them if they would like a sweatshirt. She asked me for money. I found that somewhat ungrateful..
Will be sleeping off the Netherlands here shortly, then off to Germany in a few hours. 🍺
